Dear Wootton Community,

Please note that because Wootton is a polling site in the upcoming election, the main office will be closed Monday, November 2nd through Wednesday, November 4th.  The main office staff will not be onsite to receive calls to the main office as we will be teleworking.  Please contact staff members via email.  The office will re-open on Thursday, November 5th at 8:00 am.

The first marking period ends this Friday, November 6.  Continue to check in on your student's progress for a strong end to the first marking period.  Please encourage your student to continue to reach out to their teachers should they have any questions or concerns regarding their MP 1 standing.

Fresh Fruit Fundraiser:

The Wootton High School Bands are pleased to offer "Fresh Fruit Fundraiser" featuring freshly picked citrus.  Due to Covid-19 all orders are purchased online and shipped directly via UPS.  Items priced include shipping costs. Please take a moment to browse through the product page and consider supporting the Wootton High School Band students.  The money raised will support our Virtual Concerts and the purchase of a tenor saxophone.  Here is the link.

The online system is very easy to use as it will allow for credit card purchases with shipping to anyone in the USA, except AK, HI, or PR.  Also you may share the link with family or friends locally or out-of-state to make a purchase.  The online site will be open until November 29, 2020.

IMPORTANT PURCHASING INFORMATION:  All monies raised will directly support the creation of our virtual concerts, in which every band student is involved so please select Group Credit. We really appreciate any financial support you can provide. If you are not interested in buying fruit but would like to help, you may make a direct donation to Wootton’s band students at https://bit.ly/2G8sdDQ    Thank you!

Holiday Giving:

The Holiday Giving Project has provided Thanksgiving and December holiday assistance to low-income households for over 30 years. A network of social workers, school counselors, and human service professionals refer families in need of assistance. Local non-profits, faith-based organizations, and public agencies serve Holiday Giving recipients, as donations are available. If you and your family are in need and would like to be referred for possible assistance for the holiday season, please complete this referral form to provide the required information. Resources are limited: please apply only if you and your family are truly in need. While a referral is not a guarantee of assistance, the Project helps as many families in need as donations allow.

Please return the form to Sherrie Clark, guidance secretary, by November 1st for Thanksgiving or by November 20th for December holiday assistance.
