Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) and Montgomery College (MC) have partnered to offer college-ready high school students opportunities to earn college credits while fulfilling their graduation requirements. Current high school students may be eligible for the Early College Program or the Jump Start to College Program for Dual Enrollment.
Early College Program
Students who are interested in enrolling in the Early College Program must apply during the fall term of 10th grade, and they will complete their 11th- and 12th-grade years of high school while simultaneously completing their first two years of college as full-time MC students. They will graduate with an Associate's degree from MC, as well as a Maryland State High School diploma.
To find out more about program requirements and application information, please visit the MCPS Early College Program page.
Jump Start to College Pathways
Students participating in the Jump Start to College Pathways are able to take classes at Montgomery College and earn college credits while completing their high school graduation requirements. Students are able to take classes at zero cost during the fall, winter, and spring terms. All high school students who meet program requirements are eligible to participate in the program.
