The Academy of Finance connects high school students with the world of financial services and personal finance, offering a curriculum that covers banking and credit, financial planning, global finance, securities, insurance, accounting, and economics.
Project Lead the Way/Engineering
PLTW Engineering empowers students to step into the role of an engineer and adopt a problem-solving mindset. The program's courses engage students in challenges that help them become better collaborators and thinkers.
The Program offers students opportunities to pursue interests in multiple aspects of the restaurant, food service, and hospitality industries, preparing them for a variety of career options.
Early Childhood Education
Students in the Early Child Development Program work with children in a variety of settings and use research-based methods for developing and implementing lessons.
Course work includes military history and customs, and students are required to wear a uniform as determined. Students can build soft skills such as leadership, self-confidence and discipline which are necessary qualities that are needed to thrive in any diverse career. Students are not required to join the military due to high school enrollment and the program is not a military preparation class.
PEAC Scholars is a 4-year college-preparatory chohort focusing on independent learning and development of written and oral communication skills with an emphasis on critical thinking. All rising 9th grade students for whom Magruder is their home school may apply.
To provide inspired students a rigorous educational program, with a focus on aviation careers, by preparing students for unlimited post secondary academic opportunities, including college and the aviation industry.
