Clarksburg High School Students, Staff, and Families,

This week we kick off the Winter Athletics Season. Good luck to our Coyotes on the court, on the mat, on the track and of course in the pool!

The Student Government Association (SGA) is coordinating a Spirit Week beginning December 13th and they want student feedback on themes. Students, click here to vote on a theme.

The College and Career Readiness and College Completion Act (CCRCCA) requires all public high school students to take a college and career readiness assessment in English and Mathematics by the end of Grade 11. MCPS uses the SAT, ACT, and Accuplacer as the college and career readiness assessment under CCRCCA. At CHS we will be administering the Accuplacer, a requirement for admission to Montgomery College, to all Seniors who have not completed the college and career readiness assessment yet. The Accuplacer will be provided to Seniors on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at 7:45 AM

Beginning Monday, December 6, 2021, we will accept applications for parking permits for the 2021-2022 Spring Semester. As a reminder, parking permits are a privilege, not a right. Parking is for SENIORS ONLY except for OJT and Internships. The Board of Education mandated fee of $37.50 per semester will remain in effect for the 2021-2022 school year. This fee is non-refundable and will be collected from each student when permits are issued. Applications are to be submitted to Mr. Patrick Bazemore, School Business Administrator, by no later than Monday, January 10, 2022. Applicants will be notified by phone or email if they will receive a permit by Friday, January 14, 2022. Please do not submit the fee with the application. Applications will be emailed on Monday.

Looking ahead, on Wednesday, December 15th a counselor will visit all English classrooms of 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students to hand out materials and directions for course registration for the 2022-2023 academic year. Please stay tuned for more information.
