Principal's Weekly Message
Good morning Clarksburg High School Families,
This week will be a full week of school with PSAT and SAT testing for all students in grades 10 & 11, and those Grade 9 and 12 students that opted in, as well as Clarksburg Day in the afternoon on Wednesday.
Any student-athletes interested in trying out for Winter Sports beginning November 15th will have to receive their first dose of the Pfizer vaccine by Monday, October 11 in order to be “fully vaccinated” with the second dose by 11/15. Please see the latest Athletics Update within our newsletter. It includes information that the decision has been made that “religious exemptions” for student-athletes will not be accepted.
The CHS Homecoming Week is right around the corner, October 18-22. Out of School Guest Forms are due Thursday and tickets go on sale this week Friday! Homecoming includes hallway decorating, spirit week themes of Pajama Day, Jersey and Sports Day, Wacky-Tacky Day, Costume Day, and Battle of the Classes. In a addition a fantastic Powder Puff Football Game is planned during our Pep Rally. The Homecoming Dance will be spectacular! Dancing will occur outdoors under heated, lighted, and tented facilities. There will be games and activities for all. Clarksburg students that wish to bring a current MCPS student from another school will need to print and complete the linked Out Of School Guest form. Looking ahead, Grade 9-11 picture retakes will occur on Tuesday, October 19. That evening the PTSA will meet. Seniors may plan for their Senior Meeting and Senior Panoramic Class Photo on the morning of Tuesday, October 26.
