Principal's Weekly Message

CHS Seal

Good morning Clarksburg High School Families:

Happy Halloween! The end of October also brings wonderful new fall colors, and the new marking period. November 3 will end the first quarter and marking period and grades will be processed the following day by teachers. November 4 will be a professional day for staff and students will not have classes on Thursday.

This week we also wish happy retirement, after 30 years, to Mr. Michael Smith Assistant Principal. Mr. Dan Mulcahy will serve as Acting Assistant Principal for the duration of the year.

Beginning in the 2019-20 school year, the AP® Program introduced new resources and processes designed to help students earn college credit and placement. Students are now required to register for AP Exams in the fall. The exams will still take place in May. Please see the information contained in our newsletter and plan to register and make payment before the November deadline.

There are many seniors that need to take their Senior Photo. November 3, 4, and 8th from 8:00 am until 3:00 pm are available for Seniors to take the Senior Photo if they have not already done so. (*Note: 11/3 & 11/8 are during the school day. Seniors will be responsible for the classwork missed and should follow-up with their teachers.) Please go to Prestigeportraits.com to find your picture day information by entering the state and the city of your school. Simply enter your name to begin the scheduling process. Please note that these are the final dates for which Lifetouch will be at Clarksburg High School.

CHS is saddened by the loss of Ms. Sara Bristor, English Composition Assistant. Ms. Bristor is survived by her Husband Joel and her four sons.

In this newsletter you will find information about Registration for Winter Sports, Advanced Placement Exams (Click Button), PTSA Newsletter, Clothing Recycling, CHStage Fundraiser, college and university visits to CHS, and more.
