Virtual Academy Application Process Now Open

For the 2021-2022 school year, MCPS students will return to traditional in-person learning five days a week. However, MCPS is also offering a Virtual Academy this fall that will provide a full-time virtual learning program for students in kindergarten to Grade 12.

Students interested in the program are required to apply for admission and must be approved to participate. For the 2021-2022 school year, the program will serve students with qualifying extenuating circumstances.

Parents/guardians can submit an application between June 2-July 2 by:

Applying on ParentVUE (coming soon).
Dropping off a paper application and supporting documentation at the summer school office, located in Room 110 at Carver Educational Services Center, 850 Hungerford Dr. in Rockville, between 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday.
Emailing the application form and supporting documentation to mcps-virtual@mcpsmd.org.
Calling the Community Hotline at 240-740-7020 (choose option 3) between 7 a.m.-8 p.m., Monday-Friday.
