Mr. Kenneth Alford, Jr. 7th Grade Administrator |
Mr. Ahmed Adelekan 8th Grade Administrator |
Professionally, I have worked in MCPS for 25 years, 20 years as an administrator. I have spent all but 1 year of my career in the NEC, Springbrook HS, Blake HS, and now Briggs Chaney MS. I really enjoy the NEC community and its diversity. At my core, I am most passionate about building relationships, equity and safety and security. I am high energy and prefer not sitting in front of a computer all day. I like to be interactive, visible and to learn new things when I see lessons. Personally, I am originally from Chicago and still have a strong connection to my roots. I even named my 5 year old rescue dog Capone. I enjoy spending time with friends and family and I take every opportunity NOT to have to cook. |

He later attended Hood College to obtain his Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership. He is married with 3 children and is as passionate about the preparation, growth and success of the Briggs Chaney Middle School students as he is his own children. Mr. Alford believes that through mutual respect, a nurturing environment that cultivates relationships, and striving for continued academic and social growth, all young people can reach their full potential with support. |
