Ms. Hannah Hartman, Drama - email

I am Ms. Hartman and this is my seventh year at Briggs Chaney. I currently teach English 6 and Awareness of Language and Culture. My idea of a perfect day includes snow, plenty of good books, and lots of coffee! While my favorite books are constantly changing, some of my recent favorites include The War that Saved My Life, When Friendship Followed Me Home, and Mockingbird. I live in Columbia with my two remarkably fluffy cats, Calvin and Hobbes.

Ms. Angela Norwood, Mindfulness - email

Hi! I am Ms. Norwood. I am originally from New Jersey where I started my teaching career. I am a graduate of Rutgers University and a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. This is my 27th year of teaching and 19th year at Briggs Chaney Middle School. My first job within MCPS was at Galway Elementary School. I am proud to say that I have spent the majority of my teaching career right here in this community. My hobbies and source of happiness come from yoga, coloring, fury dogs, and spending times with my family.

Mr. Tyler Rosenberger, Art - email

Hi there! I'm Tyler Rosenberger and this is my 4th year at BCMS and MCPS and I'm so happy to be back! This year I will be teaching MS Studio Art 1 & 2 as well as Innovative Art + Design 2 & 3. A few of my interests include Beyonce (the queen), cartoons, Spongebob, memes, reality tv, the beach, getting outdoors, finding new music/making playlists, and of course making art. Health, fitness, and mindfulness have also changed my life for the better in recent years. The plan is always to spread the love of art with the BCMS community in a safe, welcoming to all, and kind environment. Cheers to a new school year!
