The following information is for 7th and 8th grade students wishing to participate in girls or boys soccer this spring.

- Vaccination for COVID-19 is strongly recommended for student-athletes but is no longer required. The change is due to community transmission levels, vaccination rates, and analysis of activities (mostly outdoors). Vaccination requirements are subject to change, pending the latest guidance from the Student-Athlete Medical Advisory Committee for MCPS Athletics, in collaboration with the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services.
- Students must register for spring sports on ParentVUE. Registration for middle school spring sports opens on Monday January 30th at 12:00 pm!
- Students must have an up-to-date physical on file. Once a physician has completed the Pre-Participation Form, you may upload it to ParentVue, have your child turn it into the nurse or email it to Jason Thibeault. Physicals are good for two years so if your child has had one in the last two years they do not need a new one.
- Tryouts are projected for Tuesday, March 7th, 2023. Tryouts are after school from 3:15-4:25pm. Students will need a ride or can use the activity bus. Students who are not registered will not be able to try out. Registrations will need to be submitted by the end of the day on March 6th in order for your child to try out.

Next week our girls basketball team will be hosting Herbert Hoover Middle School on Wednesday February 1st. Game starts at 3:20. The boys team will be traveling to Herbert Hoover. Please come support our basketball program.
