Digital Citizenship: Your Characters Count

Digital citizenship is using social media and other digital tools in a responsible, respectful manner that allows individuals to communicate freely and share ideas without the threat of intimidation, harassment or abuse. This year our third, fourth and fifth grade students will receive lessons on issues such as privacy, cyberbullying, and internet safety. MCPS has published a web page with a wide variety of resources on this topic for parents and students. From the Sargent Shriver web site look for the Digital Citizenship: Your Characters Count logo to navigate to the resources.
