Resilience Day Fundraiser

Argyle Middle School is committed to developing students academically and socially. This year, we are focusing on several aspects of wellbeing, including promoting academic resilience. Our students will participate in a Wellness Wednesday event on Wednesday, November 15 with a focus on resilience. Support students with a pledge as they participate in a read-a-thon, a math-a-thon, a write-a-thon, and a code-a-thon throughout the day. Funds raised will go toward student field trips and activities.

The Recreation Department is hosting a teen event, Buckets and Beats, in Downtown Silver Spring this Friday, 9/22 from 1:30-7:30pm. This is a field trip opportunity for all middle and high school youth that are interested. Basketball players can enjoy the tournament/game play, skaters can jam out in the skatepark and all can enjoy the art project (huge canvas mural), music (radio station DJs onsite) and food. There will be some food there through the event but the Recreation Department will also feed the youth that attend with them. Vans and/or buses will be made available to pick up and drop off at school locations. Students and families are also able to attend this event on their own. Interested students who need transportation should submit this form in the Main Office by Wednesday. Families are welcome to show up to the event on their own and bring a completed form or register at Veterans' Plaza if students do not need transportation.
