What we do

Wonder what we do?  We exist to support the parents, teachers, students and staff at JMPS.  Here are a few of our activities and accomplishments:

  • Sponsor student awards programs
  • Maintain an Online Student Directory
  • Bring guest speakers and cultural arts programs to the JPMS community
  • Manage staff appreciation activities
  • Organize the 8th grade year-end dance and support 8th grade promotion
  • Support year-end activities for each grade level
  • Organize school-wide dance and other activities
  • Assist with school improvement initiatives

Membership in the PTSA also ensures our strong voice on relevant matters before the Montgomery County Board of Education and within the Montgomery County Council of PTAs, the Maryland PTA, and the National PTA.
