The four key handbooks and guidelines developed for students of Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) have been revised for the 2022-2023 school year to address Board of Education (Board) policies and MCPS regulations amended and revised over the 2021-2022 school year, and comply with updated guidance from the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE).  Updated online versions of all four handbooks are available on the MCPS website at https://www.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/students/rights/.

Physical Education Clothing Information / Spirit Wear

Purchase your JPMS Spirit Wear and support the JPMS Physical Education Department. Monies raised will be used to purchase equipment for PE classes and our Intramural Program.

Orders can be placed beginning on July 24, 2022.  The deadline to submit orders is August 4, 2022, and orders will be shipped directly to homes in early September.  Click here for the link to the spirit wear fundraiser.

New Student Orientation

• August 25, 2022 - New student orientation. All 6^th and 7th graders and those 8^th graders new to John Poole Middle School are welcome to attend an orientation where we will share information preparing students for the first day of school.  Students will briefly attend their classes, meet their teachers, and will be able to make sure they know where to check-in on Monday, August 29,2022, for the first day of school.  

6th Grade Summer Orientation

Due to summer construction, we will not be able to hold our usual orientation in early August for all Grade 6 and Grade 7 students. 

Back to School Night

Thursday, September 8:  Back to School Night will be Thursday, September 8, 2022.  Information coming soon!
