Coffee with the Counselors: Rising 7th and 8th grade parents

The NBMS Counseling Department hosted a parent coffee for rising 7th and 8th grade parents and caregivers. We discussed what to expect academically and socially/emotionally in the later middle school years, and turned it over to our parents for a Q & A session. National History Day Winners at NBMS

National History Day (NHD) is a program that encourages students to engage in historical thinking skills through the creation of an in-depth research project related to a theme. All 7th graders in the Global Humanities course create and present a NHD project. The students create such excellent projects, but only a few can move forward to the county-level contest. NEW MCPS COVID-19 PROTOCOLS FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL ATHLETICS - Effective for Winter & Spring Seasons (Basketball & Soccer)

Beginning Monday, December 6, the start of the winter sports season, all middle school student-athletes will be required to submit proof of full COVID-19 vaccination prior to participation. This requirement applies to the winter and spring sports seasons conducted through MCPS Athletics. Click on the blue link above for more information.
