National History Day Winners at NBMS

National History Day (NHD) is a program that encourages students to engage in historical thinking skills through the creation of an in-depth research project related to a theme. All 7th graders in the Global Humanities course create and present a NHD project. The students create such excellent projects, but only a few can move forward to the county-level contest. NBMS Coffee with the Counselors - Signs of Suicide

Coffee with the Counselors was held on parent & guardian training on the SOS: Signs of Suicide Prevention Program. In this training, the counseling team discusses the basics around youth suicide and the need for prevention activities. The SOS Acronym ACT: Acknowledge-Care-Tell, coping skills, how to talk to your child, and resources are also discussed and provided.
