|Rajeev Gupta, Assistant Principal
I am a proud product of MCPS schools. In 2005, I graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing. In 2010, I earned a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) and in 2015 completed a Master of Education in School Leadership from Touro University of Nevada. Teaching and learning, equity and access for all, respect, and building and sustaining meaningful relationships are among my biggest core values. My wife, three young daughters and a wildly rambunctious dog make up my family. I love growing my mindset through teaching, learning and leadership, traveling, reading, tasting new ethnic cuisines, exploring our beautiful region and partaking in any outside activity.
|Diane Vincent, Reading Specialist
I am originally from a small town called Olyphant, Pennsylvania and am a proud graduate of Pennsylvania State University. However, I have lived in Maryland since 1998, and have been at Chevy Chase Elementary School since 2005. I have earned a Master’s Degree in Curriculum & Instruction, am a National Board Certified teacher in the area of literacy, and am certified in reading in the state of Maryland. In my free time I enjoy watching football (Go Eagles!), exercising, reading, and going to the beach. My favorite foods are pizza and sushi, and I enjoy hanging out with my wonderful husband, and daughters, Lucy and Livvy.
|Joan O'Brien, Staff Development Teacher
I have been a MCPS teacher in many capacities for 25 years! I have spent the last 14 years here at CCES as the staff development teacher (as well as the Science Magnet Teacher and Acting Assistant Principal). My main job is to support all teachers in implementing new initiatives as well as supporting individual needs. I also teach a 6th grade photography, part of our IB arts rotation. In my free time I love to take and edit pictures, watch sporting events (Go Redskins!), cook and play with my three dogs – Ally, Callie and Harper!
