Parents of in-coming kindergarten students are encouraged to register by June 15th for the 2021-2022 school year.

Early Entrance to Kindergarten

Information about the early entrance to kindergarten (EEK) process for the 2021-22 school year is being finalized.   If parents/guardians are interested in applying for both EEK and the language immersion program lottery process, they may do so.    If an EEK applicant is selected for a slot in the immersion program lottery, the slot will be held pending the early entrance application decision.

Kindergarten Registration

Option 1:  Online Registration

Current MCPS families with ParentVUE accounts should register a child for school by clicking on the Online Registration link after logging in to the parent portal.  Current MCPS parents/guardians who have not yet set up a ParentVUE account should contact their school for their activation letter. 

For parents/guardians NEW to Woodlin ES, you are encouraged to use the online kindergarten registration process to complete registration for the 2021-22 school year.  You can begin by creating a ParentVUE account by registering on the Online Registration system. 

Option 2:  In-Person Registration

(only for those who are unable to use the online registration process) 

Parents/guardians may submit handwritten registration forms along with their required documents to Woodlin ES by making an appointment to come to the school.    Please call the school at 240-740-2820 and ask for Mr. Hazel.  Copies of blank forms may also be picked up from the school, also by appointment.

Kindergarten Orientation  &  Handbook 

 Schools are planning for kindergarten orientation as part of their back-to-school efforts for August.  Details about Woodlin’s kindergarten orientation will be forthcoming.

The 2021-22 Kindergarten Handbook is now available in English on the MCPS website. Parents/guardians can access the handbook for information about the MCPS kindergarten program.  Translated versions of the Kindergarten Handbook will be added to the website as they become available.
