Welcome to Neelsville Middle School an IB World School
Welcome New Principal
On June 8, 2022, the MCPS Board of Education appointed Mrs. Barbara Escobar as the new principal of Neelsville Middle School.
MCPS Family Out of School Time Survey
Beginning June 9, 2022, parents and guardians are asked to participate in a short online survey about Out-of-School Time activities and opportunities for students. Out-of-School Time (OST) is defined as structured activities that students engage in virtually and/or in person when school is not in session. The results of this survey will be used to design enhanced free programming tailored to students' interests, while also addressing the district's key focus areas of mitigating learning disruption, digital learning, and student well-being. Your participation in the survey is vital. The survey will be opened from Thursday, June 9 through Thursday, June 30, 2022.
Registration for Middle School Fall Athletics
Fall 2022 interscholastic athletics online registration will be submitted through the ParentVue Portal, opening on August 15, 2022.
Student Service Learning (SSL)
Student Service Learning Graduation Requirement
Summer is a wonderful time for students to engage in SSL opportunities and earn SSL hours towards meeting the 75-hour state graduation requirement!
Middle school and high school students should continue earning SSL hours towards their SSL graduation requirement by engaging in SSL opportunities over the summer, including traditional in-person opportunities and select virtual/remote opportunities that follow the guidelines posted on the MCPS SSL webpage (www.mcps-ssl.org).
Current fifth-grade students may begin participating in SSL opportunities starting June 18, 2022!
