6th Grade Family Field Trip to the Smithsonian’s Sackler Gallery
On Sunday, April 28, 6th graders went on a Family Field Trip to the Smithsonian’s Sackler Gallery to view the Cyrus Cylinder of the ancient Persian Empire. Afterwards, they participated in a workshop in which they learned how to write on clay tablets in cuneiform, the same language that the Cyrus Cylinder was written in, and the first written language in human history.
