After-School Activities at Loiederman Middle School

After-School Activities Program Overview

At A. Mario Loiederman Middle School, we offer students a variety of after-school activities: academic support, clubs, interscholastic, and intramural sports in which students may participate to develop their leadership skills, improve their academic, musical, and athletic abilities under the leadership of a supportive, caring, competent and professional staff member.  We also want to encourage and extend an invitation to all of our students to get engaged and involved in our after-school activities program. We are very excited about our new sixth graders who are joining the Loiederman Family and our seventh and eighth graders who are returning or coming to Loiederman for the first time. All students are invited to participate in after-school activities.

Activity Bus

Please click the link above for the Activity Guide which contains important information about the activity busses. The Activity Busses are available to students who are participating in an adult-supervised program after school. Students who participate in a school-sponsored activity including athletics and intramurals will have to register in advance for the EBB program in order to take the 5:30 activity bus.

Excel Beyond the Bell and After School Activities

Excel Beyond the Bell is a community partnership between the Montgomery County Collaboration Council, Montgomery County Recreation Department, and MCPS to bring quality, enriching, and safe after-school programs to our youth. This is a free program that is open to all students. For more information about Excel Beyond the Bell.

The EBB program is ready to launch and open registrations: Attached it's the digital brochure. EBB has built it to be a fillable document so parents can easily register without having to print our document. Paper brochures will be available to parents and students on Tuesday, September 6.  EBB will start accepting registrations starting Tuesday, Sep 6th. Completed registrations can be submitted via email or dropped off at the main office EBB drop-off area.

Athletics and Intramurals

The middle school athletic program consists of seven teams per school competing in four sports (Boys and Girls Softball, Co-Ed Cross Country, Boys and Girls Basketball, Boys and Girls Soccer) for students in seventh and eighth grade.

Our intramural program is open to all students.
