2/13 The Jackie Robinson Story 6th Grade Field Trip
Dear Parents/Guardians,
On Thursday, February 13, 2020, 6th grade students are invited to participate in a field trip to Toby’s Dinner Theatre in Columbia, to see, The Jackie Robinson story, Most Valuable Player. We plan to depart Eastern at 9:40 a.m. and will return to school by 1:15 p.m. The cost of the field trip is $16.00 per student which includes the cost of transportation to and from the theatre. This can be paid by cash, check ( made out to Eastern MS) or credit card via online school payment on Eastern website. We will be eating lunch when we return to school, so your child can pack lunch or they can purchase a bag lunch from the cafeteria, using their pin number.
All money and field trip forms must be submitted to Mrs. Hill or Ms. Valentine no later than Wednesday, January 15th. We will need parent chaperones for this trip, if you are interested in chaperoning please fill out the section below.
Purpose of this trip: To enforce unit 4 of the 6th grade English curriculum, “ Personal Best” .
“ This unit offers a mixture of texts about real individuals and fictional characters who achieve their personal best through wrestling with familiar and realistic struggles.”
