Great Explorations Club

As we enter the second half of our school year I would like to remind CES families about the opportunity to join the Great Explorations Adventure Club.  This is a unique opportunity for families to get to know each other and enjoy learning about some of the wonderful local natural beauty and history.

Great Explorations Adventure Club is a weekend club for CES families.   These activities would occur on weekends to provide some outdoor fun and hopefully some increased knowledge of our local history and environment.  We explore some great places nearby and throughout the DMV area.  Some of our outings from the previous two years have been: Kingsley Schoolhouse in Little Bennett Park, Gathland State Park, Underground Railroad Experience Trail, Calvert Cliffs State Park, Historic St. Mary's City, Mt. Vernon, Breezy Point Beach, Great Falls National Park, Seneca Creek State Park, and Washington Monument State Park.  We would return to some of these and add some new and exciting places to enjoy.  We would meet about once a month to enjoy nature and history.

If your family is interested in joining please complete the Google Form and I will invite you to a special Canvas Classroom created especially for Great Explorations.    Please email Karen Earp at Karen_S_Earp@mcpsmd.org  with any questions.
