WIDA ACCESS for ELLs Testing

Description:
On Wednesday and Thursday January 22-23, there will be an administration of the WIDA ACCESS for ELLs assessment. Students should report to room 250 or 252 using the following schedule:
ESOL Levels 4-5: 7:45am Wednesday, January 22 room 252; and 12:05pm Thursday, January 23 room 252.
ESOL Levels 1-3: 7:45am Wednesday, January 22 room 250; and 7:45am Thursday, January 23 room 250.
The WIDA ACCESS for ELLs assessment is given to students who have been identified as English language learners. It is given annually to monitor students’ progress in learning academic English and determines students’ placement in the ESOL program for the following school year.
The test consists of four domains: Listening (40 minutes), Reading (45 minutes), Speaking (35 minutes), and Writing (65 minutes).
The assessment is administered through Chromebooks so students do not need to bring any materials. Students can bring water and/or a snack.
