Attendance Matters!

Reason high school students shared why they do not attend school:

• They can’t because of work, watching younger siblings, serious medical or mental health conditions, or housing instability.
• They won’t because of bullying, safety concerns, or they feel embarrassed in school.
• They choose not to because they don’t feel seen or valued in school, or they don’t see the value in attending school.

If any of these apply to you or someone you know, please reach out to a trusted adult for support, including your school counselor and the pupil personnel worker.
