The Extended Learning Opportunities for Non-Title I, Additional Targeted Support and Improvement Schools is a program funded through and Maryland State Department of Education school improvement grant. The ELO ATSI program is a targeted summer program designed to increase the academic performance of identified ATSI student groups in rising Grades 3-5 and 6-8 in non-Title I ATSI schools. Student enrollment is by invitation only.
The program focuses on literacy and mathematics instruction for elementary students, with opportunities for other well-rounded areas, such as science and social studies. Similarly, in the middle schools, the program will focus on literacy and mathematics instruction, complemented by an elective course in well-rounded areas, such as science and social studies. Please contact the participating non-Title I schools for more information.
