Centers for Enriched Studies

The admissions process for the Centers for Enriched Studies will open in second semester.  The admissions process uses multiple criteria and begins with the universal review of each Grade 3 student. Parents and their Grade 3 student will receive information and admission information directly in January 2021.  Parents are encouraged to learn more about the enriched and accelerated opportunities at your local elementary school.

Middle School Magnet Programs

Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) offers enriched and accelerated programming in both the local middle schools and regional middle school magnet programs (Grades 6–8). Admission into either use multiple measures as part of the placement process. The pandemic has reshaped how MCPS delivers services to students and families in a virtual setting and it has impacted established annual admission processes for the criteria-based middle school magnet programs for 2021–2022.

Please see the Parent Letter from MCPS for details.
