MCPS Important Update: July 21, 2020

Here is an important update regarding the MCPS fall 2020 recovery plans. MCPS will remain in a virtual-only instructional model through the first semester—January 29, 2021; or until state and local health officials determine conditions in our county allow for students to return safely after the first semester.

Kindergarten Jumpstart Program Registration

Incoming Kindergarten students for the 2020-2021 school year are invited to participate in the MCPS Kindergarten Jumpstart program.

To help provide all staff, students, and families with timely and relevant supports and resources, the MCPS Equity Initiatives Unit developed this special edition of the EquityMatters! Newsletter.

Parent Resources

The MD PTA will be distributing $114 per child in qualifying family. All families should apply, even if they were previously ineligible, for Free and Reduced Meals (FARMS). SNAP benefits are also available to more MD residents. Social security numbers are needed for this application. Click here for links to more information and applications.
