Choose Success! The Middle School Magnet Consortium (MSMC) is made up of three schools – Argyle, Loiederman, and Parkland middle schools – each of which offers an innovative and challenging magnet curriculum. Argyle focuses on digital design and development; Loiederman offers a creative and performing arts focus; and Parkland provides students the opportunity to explore math and science through aerospace technology and robotic engineering.
Admission is based upon a Choice process open to all Montgomery County students who are currently in Grade 5.
Round 1 Choice forms were due on November 4, 2022. Round 1 school assignment letters were mailed home in mid-January 2023. Please see the school assignment letter for Open House and registration information.
5th grade students or students who did not participate in Round 1 may participate in Round 2 of the Choice lottery process using this link: http://bit.ly/choiceMSMC (to access this link, students must be logged into their MCPS Google account). Forms are due by February 10, 2023.
Students in Grade 6 who would like to request a different MSMC middle school for the 2023-2024 school year may submit a Change of Choice request form using the link: https://bit.ly/MCPSchangeMSMC
Change of Choice requests are due by February 10, 2023. Notifications will be mailed home in mid-March 2023.
