Information sessions are being held in six school communities to inform community members about the updated policy, the research about the namesake, and the process to submit a petition to ask the Board to start the renaming process.

Through historical research of school names, conducted in 2019, the Board identified the above listed six schools in which to determine community interest in renaming, including your school. If school communities request to be renamed, the Board will consider requests using the new process in Policy FFA Naming School Facilities. The Board will only consider renaming a school after members of the school community submit a petition.
