Message from the Principal

We have enjoyed seeing so many of our seniors return to in-person this week!  The students are excited to be back, and we look forward to welcoming our 12th GRADE Group B (Last Name L-Z) students back to school on Monday, April 12th.

An Important Update Regarding Wootton’s Graduation:   At the recent Board of Education meeting, a decision was made to have outdoor graduations at each school’s campus.  Wootton’s Class of 2021 graduation will now be held at Thomas S. Wootton High School in our school stadium on Thursday, June 3rd at 9:00 am (please note the change of time).  The rain date is scheduled for Saturday, June 5th at 9:00 am.   We will be providing senior parents with more information regarding the graduation in the coming weeks.

On Tuesday, April 13th, many of our juniors will be involved in SAT testing at Wootton.  As a result of testing, April 13th will be an asynchronous day for all students not involved in testing.  Please see below for next week’s schedule and for important reminders for those juniors involved in testing.

Please join Wootton’s PTSA for a livestream movie and panel discussion on teen mental health on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at 7:00 pm.

Wootton High School PTSA is proud to present a viewing of Screenagers: The Next Chapter, a movie that examines the science behind teens’ emotional challenges, the interplay of social media, and most importantly, what can be done in our schools and homes to help them build crucial skills to navigate stress, anxiety, and depression in our digital age.

The free online viewing will be held on April 15, 2021 at 7 pm via the internet and will be followed by a panel discussion hosted by Wootton High School Psychologist, Dr. Yvette Baldwin. Other members of the panel will include Dr. Edward Spector, Dr. Clifford Sussman and Dr. Adam Pletter.

**Please register now through the link provided in an email you should have received through the PTSA. The registration link can also be found on the Wootton school website as well as the Wootton PTSA website. Everyone who registers will have access to the movie and panel discussion for 2 weeks afterward if they miss the livestream.

Please see below for other important reminders for the upcoming week.
