National Junior Honor Society Application

The application season will open in January 2023 for students wishing to join the National Junior Honor Society. It is open to 7th and 8th graders and by invitation only. The first step in the process is earning a 3.5 GPA in the first quarter of the school year. An invitation will be sent out to those students to attend an interest meeting. Members are expected to maintain a 3.5 GPA once accepted. If your student attends the interest meeting and is interested in applying, they can pick up an application at that time. Students can also pick up an application in the media center if they cannot attend the interest meeting. The second step in the process is completing the application and getting four teacher recommendations. The application does include a rubric so that students understand how their applications will be judged.The third step is the review of the applications by a panel of teachers. The fourth step is the notification of acceptance.
