School Meals Program
Montgomery County Public Schools is offering FREE meals to students at 74 sites. Breakfast and lunch meals will be provided from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (double meals) and Friday (no meal service on Thursday). The district is increasing to a triple meal service on Fridays, to help address food insecurity for MCPS students over the weekend. The USDA has granted waivers which again permit meal distribution to all youth 18 and under. MCPS students over 18 will need to provide a student id to pick up meals. Student names will be required for meal pick up. All sites are outside, and we ask that you wear a facemask and practice physical/social distancing as you pick up meals. Menu information is available on the main Menu webpage. Allergens, nutrients and other information can be found on the Wellness & Nutrition webpage.
Starting October 19, 2020 when you come to pick up your lunch it will now include supper and snack. The menu options are listed here.
Holiday Meal Information
We are very excited that DFNS will be distributing meals for 4 days on Wednesday, Dec. 23rd for the long weekend at our usual times – 11:00 – 1:00 pm at all current meal sites (including buses).
On Tuesday, December 29th , we will be distributing 5 day breakfast and lunch meal kits plus a breakfast for Monday, January 4th to youth.
The NY kits will be available at 10 different sites spread around the county.
We will have to schedule staff to work to cover that distribution so we are requiring preorders for the New Year’s week meal kits.
The link to the Google form for the preorders below. It is in English and Spanish.
