First Grade

Mrs. Andrea Rowell

Hello! My name is Andrea Rowell and I am one of the first grade teachers. This is my first year at Westover but my 15th year in MCPS! I received my bachelor's degree at Colgate University and Master's Degree in Education at the University of Maryland. In my free time I love to have fun with my husband and three children. I also love to hike, jog, bike, do yoga, read, and go to music concerts.

Mrs. Christy Burke

Hi! My name is Christy Burke and I am one of the first grade teachers. This is my seventh year in MCPS and fifth year as a Westover Wallaby! I received my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Salisbury University, as well as a master's degree in Educational Technologies from Loyola University. In my spare time I enjoy running, spending time with friends and family, and playing with my dog Buddy. I am looking forward to a great year with the 1st grade students!
