8th Grade FACS

8th Grade FACS   In 8th grade FACS, students begin to structure increased meal planning. Enhanced nutrition and food preparation occur throughout the semester. Foods and diversity from different cultures are researched and presented by the students to the class. Students work together to communicate with in their groups while furthering student discourse and collaboration for problem solving and detailed planning.   Exploration and inclusion of several advanced Financial Literacy concepts are presented giving students the necessary skills as they move on to High School and College preparedness.  FACS is a wonderful way to work with others to increase both independent and group working relationships.  This course provides a foundation for life long skill learning while foster positive learning experiences.
