    • Parent Information Nights
      • The biggest parent information night is Back-to-School Night, usually held in September. There is a general meeting in the auditorium with the principal and other staff presenting the initiatives for the year, followed by a brief PTSA general meeting. Parents and guardians then proceed to their student's classrooms following their schedule. Student aides are in the hallways to assist with directions. In addition to visiting with teachers, parents and guardians also have the opportunity to meet with staff in other departments, such as Counseling Services staff, athletics, etc. Information available about SVHS programs is available at tables in the auditorium lobby, and there is an opportunity to join the PTSA or subscribe to the Eagles Bulletin.
      • In May there is a mandatory meeting for senior parents about Graduation and Prom. There will may be one or two additional parent information nights scheduled by the school as the need arises. The best way to find out about them is to subscribe to the Eagles Bulletin email service or read the PTSA Newsletter which is online and mailed home.
      • From time to time, the PTSA also invites guest speakers to present topics of interest to high school parents. The best way to find out about these meetings is to subscribe to the Eagles Bulletin email service.
