Rocky Hill Athletics

We CAN, We Will, We R.A.I.S.E – Welcome to the Rocky Hill 2nd Semester Winter/Spring Athletic Season! The spring season will begin on May 11th and end on May 27, 2021. The middle school interscholastic athletics program is available for all students in seventh and eighth grade, and consists of the following sport activities:

  •         Boys' Basketball
  •         Girls' Basketball
  •         Boys' Soccer
  •         Girls' Soccer

The spring season includes two in-person student-athlete and coach engagement sessions and one virtual engagement session per week, for a total of nine engagement sessions over the course of three weeks. The in-person engagement sessions are scheduled to occur on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 3:15-4:20pm, and the virtual engagement session is scheduled to occur on Wednesday’s, fifteen minutes post duty day for staff.

Students must submit a Pre-Participation Physical Examination certifying that they are physically fit to participate in the RHMS athletics program (please note, for middle school students, a physical is valid for two calendar years from the date of the physical). Registration for RHMS athletics is done electronically using this form:

https://forms.gle/6LiF34XBbbNYRHbv6 (English)

https://forms.gle/DCaDY6sQy1yaxwH18 (Spanish)

REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE MAY 5th!

Physicals must be done in person with a doctor - physicals done through tele-visits will not be accepted. Physicals can also be done at any CVS Minute Clinic.

If you are an 8th grade student who was at Rocky Hill last year and need to know if your physical is up to date, please email Ms. Brouillard to check! Parents may also contact the Health Room to verify their student has a current physical on file.

We will be offering activity buses to provide transportation for our students after practice, but per CDC Guidelines, space is limited to 22 students per bus. Therefore, we are asking parents to indicate how their student will be getting home in the registration form so that we can adequately prepare. Students must be picked up by 4:20pm if they are not riding the activity bus home.

Students who are remaining in virtual learning are able to participate in the in-person athletic experience as long as they have a current physical on file and are able to provide transportation to school by 3:15pm. These students will be able to ride the activity bus home, as long as there is space available.

We are excited for students to return to play! If you have any questions, please email the Rocky Hill Athletic Coordinator, Ms. Melanie Brouillard (Melanie_J_Brouillard@mcpsmd.org).
