Athletics and After School Intramurals 

 ATHLETICS FOR 6TH, 7TH, & 8TH GRADERS

Semester One - Virtual Seasons:

The middle school interscholastic athletics program is available for students in sixth, seventh, and eighth grade and consists of three virtual sport seasons, including fall (cross country and softball), winter (basketball), and spring (soccer). The middle school virtual athletic seasons consists of two student-athlete and coach engagement sessions per week, for a total of six engagement sessions over the course of three weeks. The winter virtual season is scheduled to occur on Tuesdays and Thursdays after-school, beginning on Tuesday, October 26, 2020 and finishing on Thursday, November 20, 2020. 

All students participating in the winter virtual season, as part of the MCPS interscholastic athletics program, must complete the online registration process.  Registration is done electronically through the Robert Frost MS Athletics Registration form: https://forms.gle/WLciAxFYTTuV5hnd7 

Fall Season: September 21st - October 9th

Requirements:

  GPA of 2.0 or Greater

  MCPS Form SR-8 Pre-Participation Physical Evaluation for Athletics

  Parent Permission Form

Activity Bus will be available to ride home after tryouts and practices.
