Important Rehearsal and Graduation Information

Thursday, June 6th:

Graduation rehearsal is mandatory! Students who do not participate in Thursday's rehearsal will not be permitted to participate in the official ceremony on Friday. All graduating seniors must be in the Richard Montgomery auditorium at 7:40 a.m. on Thursday, June 6th. Rehearsal will conclude when the students have mastered the process, roughly between 11:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. 

Following rehearsal, graduates will be able to pick up their graduation materials which include their 12 tickets (1 ticket per guest, only children 12 months or younger do not need a ticket to attend), cap and gown, and any additional earned regalia.

All obligations must be cleared before graduation materials will be released to students, so please check to make sure they have been paid in full prior to Thursday morning. If you have any questions, please email

Friday, June 7th:

Graduates should arrive to Xfinity Center between 12:15 p.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Friday, June 7th. Students should report to the small gym to line up alphabetically in preparation for the graduation procession. 

Please remember, students are not permitted to alter their graduation gown or decorate their graduation hat. Extras will be on hand to replace any altered items. Also, students will be standing for a long period of time between 12:30 and 1:30 and walking a relatively long distance from the staging area to the ceremony area. Please consider foot wear carefully.

Prom Ticket Sales

Prom will take place at the Rockville Hilton on May 18th from 8:00 p.m. -11:30 p.m.

Tickets for Seniors only will go on sale on April 24th, 25th, and 26th. Starting April 29th, ticket sales will be open to Juniors and Seniors between April 29thand May 3rd, or until tickets are sold out.  Make sure you buy your tickets early, we sell out every year!   

Tickets will be $55 and sold during lunch in the main gym. If paying by check, you must have the exact price of ticket/tickets, your student ID, and the student’s name on the check. In order to get a ticket all obligations must be paid. 

Any Senior who would like to bring a non-RM guest will need to have the appropriate form completed and a photocopy of the guest’s ID ready when purchasing the ticket.  Allow yourself time to get this done. The form can be found in the senior class google classroom or in the main office. 

If you are bringing an underclassman as your guest and they go to RM, they must be with you when you buy the ticket and have their school ID.

Class of 2019 Google Link

The senior class fee for the class of 2019 is now $70.00. Information sheets are available in the main office as well as on the 2019 Senior Google Classroom. To join the classroom, use code TEXPY9. Seniors must also complete the cap and gown form, which is also found in the google classroom. Please complete and submit ASAP! If you have any questions, see Ms. Contino, senior class sponsor, in room 15 or 18. 

Senior Parent Meeting - January 23

There will be a spring senior parent meeting on January 23. There are two meeting options, 8:30-9:30 a.m. in the auditorium or 7:00-8:00 p.m. in the cafeteria. The same information will be shared at both meetings, so please plan to only attend one time. After the meeting, a PowerPoint with information shared will be uploaded to this page. 

State of Maryland Biliteracy Seal Meeting

Seniors, did you know that you may be eligible earn the Seal of Biliteracy on your State of Maryland High School diploma? Students who have listed a language other than English as their language spoken at home and have passed the Maryland High School Assessment in English, may be able to earn this distinction. There will be an informational meeting on Tuesday October 30, 2018 in room 159 at 11:20 a.m. In this meeting, you will learn how to access this opportunity. If you cannot attend this meeting, visit the Richard Montgomery’s World Languages page for more information.

There will be a senior parent meeting on October 15th from 7-8:30 p.m. in the cafeteria to share information related to senior year and the college application process. At this time it is very unlikely that we will have information about the graduation date or location. However, as soon as it becomes available, we will share it with you.
