Principal: Mr. Damon Monteleone
Damon Monteleone is an award-winning educator with over two-decades of experience in the United States, Latin America, and Europe. Mr. Monteleone got his start teaching history and the social sciences in the Washington, DC area before spending a year in Vienna, Austria as a Fulbright program teacher. After returning to Washington, DC to teach history at Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School, he went overseas again to lead the US History department at an American International School in Santo Domingo. After his return in 2006, Mr. Monteleone served as an Advanced Placement Coordinator, department head, and assistant principal, in Montgomery County, the 15th largest school system in the United States. He is proud to be the principal of Richard Montgomery High School, one of the most diverse high schools in the United States and the home of the flagship International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme in Montgomery County, Maryland. Richard Montgomery is consistently ranked as one of the top schools in the state of Maryland by U.S. News and World Report and the Washington Post. In 2016, Mr. Monteleone was recognized by the MCCPTA as Principal of the Year for Montgomery County Public Schools.
