Principal: Mr. Damon Monteleone
Damon Monteleone began his career as a special education teacher at Paint Branch High School before teaching Advanced Placement US History at Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School. While at B-CC, he took a one year leave through Fulbright to teach in Vienna, Austria. In 2002, he left the United States again to teach social studies at an American International School in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Upon returning in 2006, he served as the Advanced Placement Program Coordinator and social studies resource teacher at Northwood High School before becoming an administrator at Paint Branch in 2010. Mr. Monteleone received his undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland and earned his Master’s Degree in International Education from Framingham State College. Mr. Monteleone seeks to build upon the strengths of Richard Montgomery High School and listen to the needs of its stakeholders in order to mobilize collectively on behalf of all students. He is committed to an environment where all students are engaged and challenged to succeed academically while having the support in place to do so. Moreover, Mr. Monteleone is dedicated to the development of the whole individual by fostering a school culture where students can pursue their extracurricular interests, develop lifelong friendships, and realize their potential.
