EQUITY AND ACCESS
We believe all students should have access to a quality, rigorous
education and enriching opportunities.
We believe equity does not mean “one size fits all.” Fair does not always mean equal.
DIVERSITY AND DIFFERING PERSPECTIVES
We believe in fostering a diverse, inclusive community to develop open-minded, caring, reflective students.
We believe students learn best in an environment where multiple, diverse perspectives are shared and appreciated.
We believe IB ATL and the IB LP are at the foundation teaching and learning
We believe in emphasizing mental health and affective skills
We believe all children have the capacity to learn
We believe student needs should drive our instruction
Because we value justice, we believe in community engagement to address the issues and problems of our local and global context.
We inspire principled action in all of our community members
We believe that curriculum and content should provide connections globally and beyond the classroom for career readiness
We believe that instruction should be presented in a way where learning should be differentiated in order to be as meaningful as possible
BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS and COMMUNITY
We believe positive relationships are key to teaching and learning
We believe in the power of collaborating with families and other resources outside of the school building to foster an inclusive, empathetic community.
