Mr. Carothers Graduation Information

Students and Parents of the Class of 2020 and PHS Staff,

As you know, we will be holding our virtual graduation to celebrate the Class of 2020 this Tuesday.  The access link to our ceremony will be available on our website on June 9 at noon.  Along with hearing from a student speaker, student performer, and senior officers, a personalized slide including your graduate’s photograph and name will be shown.  Images and short videos of our Class of 2020 graduates will be displayed.  I am really excited for you to see the final product, and I want to thank Ms. Grubb, Ms. Hunsicker-Blair, Mr. Conteh, and all of our students and staff that contributed to the ceremony you will be viewing on Tuesday.  Please share this information with any friends or family members you would like to view the ceremony as it is streamed.

Additionally, if our students and staff would like to view the ceremony together, we have set up a Zoom meeting where we will be showing the ceremony as it is streamed on our website.  In order to access this shared experience, staff and students will need to be logged into their Google accounts to participate.  I ask this be kept to our students and staff members in order to maintain the quality of the video presentation.  I hope students take this opportunity to dress in their caps and gowns again, gather with their families, and share this moment with their peers and teachers.  We will begin the video promptly at noon so we are consistent with the public and family members viewing through our website.  The link will also be available for you to share after the ceremony to be viewed again.  Please see below for the Zoom information being sent only to staff members and senior parents and students:

  • Meeting ID: 979 3199 1674
  • Password: 2020

I look forward to celebrating our seniors together on Tuesday.  I also encourage you to view the MCPS Universal Ceremony being shown today at 6:00 p.m.  Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.  Thank you, Class of 2020 students and parents.
