Volunteer Vaccination Attestation Update

Updated: Volunteers and Contractors Support Guide

Volunteer/Contractor Vaccination Attestation Update - Starting September 20, 2021

Montgomery County Public Schools requires school volunteers and partnership agencies to complete certain compliance measures in order to volunteer within our school district.

  • Online Recognizing Child Abuse and Neglect Training via their myMCPS Classroom/Canvas account
  • Background check (dependent upon the type of volunteer service, per the Volunteers regulation and FAQ)
  • COVID-19 Vaccination Attestation - NEW!

The new COVID-19 Vaccination Attestation module will require the volunteer to

  1. Attest to being fully vaccinated
  2. Upload their Certificate of COVID-19 Vaccination from the Department of Health, and
  3. Agree to specific expectations of masking and social distancing while in MCPS facilities.

The User-Guide on how to access both module requirements and how to access and upload the Certificate of COVID-19 Vaccination from the state Department of Health will be available on the Child Abuse and Neglect and the Volunteers websites by September 20, 2021.

A timeline has been established for volunteers and partnership agencies to complete the process in order to remain on the volunteer roster.
