I am deeply honored to serve as the new principal of Lakelands Park Middle School.  It is my belief that there is nothing more powerful in education than a caring adult with high expectations. By pairing authentic warmth with a tenacious insistence on challenging ourselves, we can support and motivate all students to reach great heights, heights they may not have even imagined for themselves. Together, we will nurture a caring school community with a strong sense of belonging and high expectations for everyone.

 I have thoroughly enjoyed the years that I have worked as Lakelands Park Assistant Principal. I am passionate about students and their achievements and the multiple talents students’ exhibit on a daily basis. Lakelands Park is great place to learn from each other: students, staff and parents. Our students will become tomorrow’s leaders!

ANDREW MILLER

   I am very much looking forward to this school year.  I am coming to Lakelands Park Middle School from the Office of the Chief Academic Officer in central office.  I am very excited to be returning to a school and even more thrilled to be joining the tremendous learning community of LPMS.  This will be my 18th year in MCPS and I truly hope that my wide range of experiences will enhance the teaching and learning at LPMS.  I am a huge believer in learning that is personalized, student centered, and designed to meet the needs of all students.  In this vision for instruction, I see skilled teachers utilizing technology, student voice, student choice, and culturally relevant instructional practices.  I look forward to a collaboration with staff, families, and community to enhance the excellent traditions of LPMS.

I am looking forward to the opportunity to serve Lakelands Park Middle School as the Assistant School Administrator. I am grounded in developing enduring relationships with students, staff, parents, and community, so that our children may develop the academic and social emotional skills critical for success.
