Kingsview Middle School

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Kingsview Middle School (KMS) will host a local summer program (LSP) this year to provide families with an opportunity to extend students' learning experiences. The LSP offers several in-person courses from Wednesday, July 6 to Friday, July 29, 2022, 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Please note that our LSP will be held at Lakelands Park Middle School due to our roof replacement project. Lakelands Park Middle School is located at 1200 Main Street, Gaithersburg, MD 20878. Bus transportation to and from Lakelands Park MS will be provided.  Additional bus route and schedule information will be forthcoming.  There is no cost for the LSP. 

The summer program offers four-week courses designed to help students retain the gains they have made during the school year and to help prepare them for success in the fall. Each course is designed by MCPS to supplement the curriculum throughout the school year. The program will also target specific skills that will ensure students have the greatest opportunity for success next year. All courses will be taught by MCPS staff members. To make sure that students get the maximum benefit from the instruction, class sizes will be kept at a minimum. Space is extremely limited. 

Please note that summer program registration is a two-step process.  BOTH processes are necessary to secure a summer program spot for your child. Resources are linked below to ensure a successful registration and course selection process.  

Step 1: Access your ParentVue account to initiate the enrollment process.

Staffing depends on enrollment in ParentVue.  Suggested deadline: Friday, May 13, 2022. 

Step 2: Access the Course Registration Google form: KVMS Summer Sensation Registration 

Course selection is first-come, first-served.  Suggested deadline: Friday, May 13, 2022.
