A message from KINGSVIEW MIDDLE SCHOOL

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Kingsview Middle School will host a summer program this year to provide families with an opportunity to extend students' learning experiences. The summer program offers several in-person courses from Tuesday, July 6 - Friday, July 30, 2021, from 8:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at Kingsview Middle School.  The courses will be offered at no charge.  MCPS transportation will be provided for students who normally ride the bus during the school year. Buses will run or a specialized schedule from July 6 - July 30, 2021. 

The summer program offers four-week courses designed to help students retain the gains they have made during the school year and to help prepare them for success in the fall. Each course is designed by MCPS to supplement the curriculum from the school year.  The program will also target specific skills that will ensure students have the greatest opportunity for success next year. All courses will be taught by a MCPS staff members.

• Academic Courses: Math, English/Language Arts (ELA), and English as a Second Language (ESOL)
• Innovative Courses: Band, Orchestra, Spanish, Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM), and Physical Education (PE)

To make sure that students get the maximum benefit from the instruction, class sizes will be kept at a minimum. Space is extremely limited. Please complete the online registration form by Friday, May 14 2021, to ensure a seat for your child.  Please include your child’s full name and MCPS student ID number on the form and complete your selection of both academic and innovative courses. Your child will be scheduled for 2 academic and 2 enrichment courses.  Once your child is enrolled in a class, you will receive registration confirmation and additional information including bus route schedules, class locations and times, assigned teacher’s name, etc.  Form:  https://forms.gle/b8oAHf1LHqydvP118

Parents also have the option of registering their student in the MCPS Central Virtual Summer School from Tuesday, July 6 - Friday, July 30, 2021, from 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. by accessing their ParentVUE account.  https://md-mcps.edupoint.com/PXP2_Login.aspx
