A message from KINGSVIEW MIDDLE SCHOOL

Dear Parents/Guardians: 

We must all do our part to prevent the transmission of the COVID-19 virus in our schools. This includes participating in school-provided COVID-19 testing to identify cases where the student or staff member may not be showing symptoms. MCPS families were notified about this new effort in February and March.  Tests will be provided for all students and staff on a weekly basis. Each swab will be placed in a common tube for that classroom or group and sent off to a central testing laboratory. The test detects whether the virus that causes COVID-19 is present in that pooled sample. Schools will receive results within 2-3 days.

A consent form is attached to this letter.  If you do not complete the consent form, your child will not be able to participate in testing.  COVID-19 testing will begin at our school on Thursday, April 15, 2021.

Estimados Padres/Guardianes:

Todos debemos de hacer nuestra parte para prevenir la transmisión del virus COVID-19 en nuestras escuelas.  Esto incluye hacerle pruebas de COVID-19 en las escuelas para identificar casos donde un estudiante o personal de la escuela no demuestren síntomas.  A todas las familias de MCPS se les informo de este nuevo esfuerzo en Febrero y Marzo.  Pruebas de COVID-19 serán proveídos a todos los estudiantes y personal todas las semanas y serán mandados a un laboratorio.  La prueba detectara si el virus que causa COVID-19 está presente en esa aula/área.  Las escuelas recibirán los resultados entre 2-3 días. 

Una forma de consentimiento esta adjunto a esta carta.  Si no llena esta forma de consentimiento, su hijo/a no podrá participar en las pruebas de COVID-19.  Las pruebas de COVID-19 comenzaran en nuestra escuela el Jueves, 15 de Abril del 2021.
