It's Time for the Summer Reading Challenge! 

When I think of summer, I think of all the amazing books books and activities at the Germantown Public Library and this year is no different! We strongly encourage our Bullfrog families to sign up for the free Summer Reading Program, available at all Montgomery County Public Libraries. This year's theme is "Oceans of Possibilities." 

This year, students will read and/or complete activities towards the goal of raising money for the Chesapeake Bay Foundation. Complete all the challenges and you may win free tickets for a Washington Nationals game for the whole family. Every student who registers for the Summer Reading Program will receive a free book when they visit the public library.

Visiting the Media Center 

Students in Grade K and 1 will visit the GSCES Media Center every week for lessons and book exchange. Students in Gr 2-5 will visit the media center every two weeks for lessons and book exchange. 

Every morning, there is Open Library every from 8:40 - 9:05 for students in Grades 2-5. Students may obtain a pass from their homeroom teacher to visit. 

Hours of Operation: Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 3:45 pm but our Online Resources are available 24/7! 

Circulation of Library Materials for the 2021-22 School Year

All Bullfrogs may check out up to five books at a time, but we will limit Kinders and First Graders to one book at first. Books may be checked out for two weeks, but may be renewed one time.
