Outdoor Education

Sixth graders at each middle school in MCPS participate in a three-day, two night residential outdoor environmental education program. While in residence, students learn about various aspects of the environment as they participate in lessons that directly connected to the grade six curriculum that cannot be carried out at the home school. Students are accompanied by their teachers who provide instruction and supervision during their stay.
