Sports
Calling all athletes……Students in the grade 7 and grade 8 who are academically eligible may try out for the athletic sports teams at Francis Scott Middle School. In the fall, students may tryout for the coed cross country team and/or the boys and girls softball teams. In mid November, tryouts will be held for the boys and girls basketball teams. Finally, in mid March, tryouts for the boys and girls soccer teams will commence.
In order to be academically eligible, students must have a 2.0 grade point average.
Health Inventory forms must be current for two calendar years from the date of the physical. Health Inventories are available from the website or the main office.
No student will be permitted to tryout if they do not have the proper paperwork. This is a county policy and there will be no exceptions.
A sports bus will be available to students to ride home after practices and tryouts.
